U.S.A Flag too Good for American Soil PDF Print E-mail
Written by Randall McFarlane

I hate it how every time someone says burn the flag when it touches the ground. Why in the fuck do we need to do this? Is the flag too good for the U.S. Soil it represents?  I love my country that I do but I fear my government. But I still respect the flag. But I think it’s a little ridicules saying that we need to burn it when it hits the ground. I can understand that if it was at a embassy and it touch foreign soil. But this is American soil that we fought so hard for yet these fucking freaks need to burn the flag. Well maybe  you are just a little fucking stupid Because I think if you touch the ground we should burn you. Hell why not we burned tons of “witches” and that was ok. We like to think we respect the united states but in reality no one really gives a crap and that pisses me off. Yes I do believe that usa government if fucking shit and its getting worse but I also love my country and will respect it. Until the government gets it act together I say we burn them because they have no respect for the people or the country. They take bribes and just do what the big business wants. The only assistive to be a congressmen now a days is to take the bribes.  I say we need to make better laws saying if you take bribes we burn you. Maybe just maybe they will do something for the country then for themselves.

Ranting can be fun 2007-07-30 17:54:22

Let's not call it law. Let's call the flag protocol a method and sincerity of
respect.

When a flag gets dirty, it's time to clean it. When a flag gets
worn and torn, it is time to dispose of it properly. Of course, for most, that
means providing it to the local VFW or American Legion Post; who can burn it in
a most humble and ceremonious manner.

I am sure that many vets wanted to kiss
the ground when they returned home from a horrible tour of duty on a foreign
land. The Vietnam vets were especially happy to kiss the ground; as many did
not get the hero's welcome upon their return.

To me, it seems appropriate
that a returning soldier had a ceremony that accompanied the flag in a ground
kissing ceremony. Certainly, the flag and the ground are symbols of our
American freedoms.

Let's offer a drink to all vets We salute you.

Good
luck with future and thoughtful rants - Dan
